It won't work with a waterfall, but like Saille, I am also a paper towel user. It makes cleaning easier, and they rarely locomote on it anyway. There's also less chance they'll swallow substrate when feeding on it. I originally planned to use paper towel only during my quarantine period with my initial two wild-caughts but wound up sticking with it.

Eco earth/coco fiber is inferior (and a waste of money) when you can buy a good sized bail of peat for 8$...

I would not say it is inferior, but it is much more expensive then "non reptile brand name products" I use some eco earth and coco fiber mixed in with some of my other substrates. My substrates are usually a nice mix of organic potting soil, sand, peat moss, coco fiber. I just mix it till I get a texture I like.

Tile is great, if your lizards are indigenous to your bathroom

I see your point, it could be useful in a mix, I haven't tried that. By itself I think it has a horrible consistency and I hated it every minute that I used it, just my opinion.

Default Springtails and Eco-Earth

Really? I will try that, then. Maybe with only half an inch of it so that I still have some left over whenever I need to clean the terrarium again. I always thought of springtails as parasitic and infectuous like mites but further research reveals they aren't parasitic at all. Will they still cause problems for the lizard in some way?

Springtails are 100% harmless. Even in huge numbers.

Default Springtails in reptibark?

OK cool. Now here's me being economic: Will springtails live in reptibark or does/should it have to be Eco-Earth?

They should do just fine as long as there is moisture, the temperature is not excessively high, and they have food.
