Default defecatoria

Hi all,

Getting prepared for a pair of G. vittatus ...

I wondered whether the G. vittatus use defecatoria, like Tokays do? May be this depends on age, housing conditions or something else?
I know this is in wrong subforum, but what about Ptychozoon spp?

Thnx

Default Pepe's defecating areas

Pepe defecates all over the place. He prefers to do it in small nooks and crannies on his terrarium floor but he'll also defecate under and on top of the plants. He doesn't have any particular place he likes to defecate in and sometimes when I look around the terrarium I find droppings where I have never seen him go before. Like right beside the front terrarium wall in plain sight. The only places where he doesn't seem to defecate are on his tree, under his log hides, and in his water dish (fortunately for me because that water dish is hard to get out for cleaning). And he eats a lot so he dirties his terrarium that much more quickly

Thanks much for the responses.
I learned also from few other keepers that neither G. vittatus, nor Ptychozoon use particular defecatoria. It appears that even not all Tokays use such spots, which I didnt knew.
Anyway, I was just curious about how quick it would be spot-cleaning my forthcoming animals' tanks.

Thanks

I think arboreals are somewhat like birds, they can poop anywhere and leave it in the wild. The nice thing about my Tokays and a couple of my Whtie Lineds is, I notice that they poop near the front of the cage so its easy to change out the paper towel there and spot clean. But I have a couple who poop anywhere they feel like.

All of my Tokays use one corner of their cages. They do occasionally miss but mostly they use one corner pretty reliably.

Hi
This seems to depend on individual animal character (?). My tokays too use the same corner - the most remote spot from their hides.
