The first egg from my calico x calico pairing hatched tonight. Tiny egg, big hatchling! 103 days. Totally psyched!

well done! was it a single egg or is there a second one your waiting for the hatch?
is it possible for you to let us see the latest pic's of the parents! regards georg

This clutch was 2 eggs. The second egg looks fine but has not hatched yet. The dam has laid one clutch per month beginning in March and every clutch has alternated between 2 and 1 egg:

March: 2 eggs
April: 1 egg
May: 2 eggs
June: 1 egg
July: 2 eggs

Here are pics of the parents. The pics aren't the best (especially of the male) and as you can see, the calicos are quite different from one another:

Update 7/7/09: Second egg hatched! 105 days! Yay!

yes maybe it´s a kind of color-disease but i think those animals seem to be in best conditions, aren't they!? - so who cares! i think they fit very well together! an the juvenile is the best proof for that!

oh and by the way . Ophidiophile - thank you for the pic's of your great calico adults!
