Default Tokay throwing up

Hi, I have a question:

My Tokay female had just moulded yesterday and I wanted to feed her.
She ate a cricket but seconds after she threw up the cricket.
What is the reason that she throws up?
Is it possible that the eaten skin might be the problem?
She is a healthy female and laid 6 eggs this season.

Thanks in advance,

David

Hi David,

Throwing up can be a sign of a couple different things. A mouth infections, throat or intestinal infections, parasites, stress. Normally the eaten shed skin isnt a problem. It is usually broken down and becomes a normal fecal. I would wait until she has her next fecal to see if it is normal. If she is normal weight, maybe take a flash light and get her to open her mouth to see if there is any cuts or infections. Sometimes accidents happen and they can get simple infections that turn into bigger infections from nothing more that eating their own food. If you have anymore problems let us know.
