Angry New tokays have mites arrgh

Right Luckily i have never had to deal with mites. How ever never had wild caught herps before either, I new it was a chance i was taking, I've give the shop a ring to let him know, and hes said he will do the same, and to let him know how the stole sample goes

One of my tokays has mites, Explaines why its always dark! and not to happy. well there not happy anywho but i have never seen it not be black so far.

(three days of owning) granted could be settling in

Main question is if any one knows, How am i going to bath them, And keep them clean with daily full clean outs when obviously being typical tokays?

Also i am in the process of boiling water, and the logs and such are in the oven cooking away.

also just got in touch with the vets, The vet is going to ring me back...and do i have to distroy the left over live food that was in the RUB? (glad i kept them in a RUB!)

Hopefully i wanted to see how these annoying mites look like, but it wouldn't be bad at all to take a look to the geckos though. :P

I have not dealt with mites on geckos, only on snakes. With them I have used various pyrethroid treatments but I don't think I'd do that for geckos. If I were dealing with a mite infestation in geckos I'd probably look for an environmentally-friendly solution. The one I have used before successfully is hypoaspis. Hypoaspis are predatory mites that live in damp soil and eat other mites. They are harmless to reptiles. In the US, you can buy them online. You add the hypoaspis to the infested cages and they multiply as long as there's food to eat (i.e., the bad mites). When the food supply is exhausted (i.e., your mite problem is done) the hypoaspis population too crashes. I'm not sure if they're available in Europe but I suspect they probably are. It's worth a Google search.
