Related to your question about the eye color, I have theory about leucism in Tokays that I'd like to hopefully test. To my knowledge there has been only one true leucistic Tokay hatched - it was completely white with blue eyes upon hatching. Apart from this animal, other leucistics I know of start out normal and gradually turn from normal to calico to leucistic. These animals also have the black eyes you mention. Anyway, I believe that 99% of "leucistics" in collections are calicos. The few solid white ones with blue eyes that have been caught are actual single-gene recessive "true leucistics" that hatch out white. Anyway, this is all an educated guess - we'll see whether it actually holds true... Damn wish I'd have bought the WC blue-eyed solid white male that got offered to me a couple of months ago!
