Sounds like a prolapse. Definitely post some pictures in the leopard gecko forum, you can try some KY jelly on the affected area to keep it moist until you can get your gecko to a vet. A change in diet/substrate is also probably necessary if he's having a hard time passing stool. If he's on sand, get rid of it and keep him on paper towels or tile. Does it have a humid hide/access to fresh water?
