Default Babies Tokay Not Eating

My first post in Geckos Unlimited starts with problematic babies tokay.

I successfully hatched 3 tokays from gravid wild female tokays on 18/10/2009.
Offered them pinhead crickets and mealworms but none of them take the food since the day they hatched. (7 days)

SHould I force feed them or any better suggestion(s)?

I wouldn't force feed them unless it's a last resort. Pinhead crickets are very small. Perhaps try a feeder that has a little more size to it. Something that will get their attention. Also make sure temps and humidity are correct, etc.

Thanks for your recommendation.
The temps and humidity are within the range. (27-30degree Celsius and 65%-80%)
Those babies are defensive just like their parents.

Well, if you have only had them for a about a week, then thats probably fine. Just give them some more time. Mine took longer than 2 weeks.

Ya, you are. But they still might take a little more time.

First shed for my tokay babies is usually the same day they hatch. But they still don't start feeding for about 10 days. I wouldn't worry at all at 7 days. And as Ethan said, pinheads are a bit small. They can easily eat crix that are 2-3x pinhead size.

Didn't knew they can survive without food for such a long period.
That will relieve my worries.

I have no idea if they already shed their skin or not.
I wasn't at home for 2 days when they hatched.

OK, I will wait for another few days.
That would be easier for me to get bigger size crix.

Try putting the gecko in a small basic enclosure that's easy for it to find prey items in. Check your temps and humidity. Make sure to use the right sized prey...they might not take it if it's too big or too small. Try a different prey item than what you've been trying. Above all, make sure it's getting plenty of water. They can go a long time without food. But they need to drink.
