Default Golden Gecko Call?

I was just wondering if these guys called? I was woken up this morning by an odd sound. Sort of a kack sound that happened about five times in a row, with a second or two of silence in between each 'call'. I haven't heard my Golden make any sort of noise, so I wonder what noise do they make? I didn't find anything about what sort of sounds they make, so I thought I'd ask ya guys.
It might have been my tokay, but it didn't sound like a Tokay call. She is female, though I remember reading that a few people have had their female tokays call.
I have quite a few other geckos, but I've never heard rhacs making that kind of sound.
Obviously it wasn't my snakes or bugs, lol.

Yes, they can produce calls like you describe. But so far, I only heard them vocalize during aggressive interaction. They can also utter a quite loud distress call if grabbed by a predator (or herper). I have not yet experienced a male calling without obvious other reasons than courtship or territory marking -like Tokays and the other large Gekko species do.

It is odd that he is making the noise then. He's not being bothered in his cage by anything. I heard it again this morning(woke me up once more). I can't think of what would cause him to make the noise. I guess he just feels like it, heh.

Well, I am now quite certain it was actually my tokay. I moved her to the other side of the room a few days after the last time I heard the sound.
I woke up to the sound again, and it came from the side my tokay was on.
