Question Golden gecko discoloration?

I recently acquired a golden gecko at a reptile expo bein busy as i am trying to care for the leopard gecko that had an a tail dropping incident with one of my cats who we now nicknamed lizardmuncher i have been trying to go to the petstore and acquire upgrades to enclosures to make more suitable healthy lifestyles but my mom stubborn as she is will not comply to allow me and will take me this weekend so i am grounded off the computer and i wanted to check on my herps so i dropped my reptiles magazine and went downstairs to the playroom/reptile room and i check my golden gecko named Angel and i see black coloration on him i was guessing it was the 75w basking bulb and he was overheating so i turned it off to replace it soon with a night-glo i also noticed him being a bit spazzy when i read the caresheet before i got them i read they were active and he was but he was way more active andjust spazzing out should i worry about this happening should i place the night glo in the lamp i seriously dont want to lose him/her because my animals mean so much to me

That seems perfectly normal to me. That does not sound like any thing to worry about. Pictures would be more helpful.
