So Cleaning cages and taking weights this lovely sunday! To my great surprise my olive patternless female wanted to hang out with me for a bit. We grabbed the camera and started snapping. Id like to say first off that I do NOT try and tame my toks, this girl I hatched out last year, and has only been handled for cage cleaning and weight taking, once a month. Today I guess she was feeling friendly and decided to let me pick her up, and then she decided to climb around on me for a while. She even jumped off of me a couple of times and let me pick her back up and continue handling her. Better yet! I still have all my fingers! Enjoy the pics guys I certainly enjoyed her having fun!

Great pics. Goes to show that you don't have to be grabbing and forcing your animals to teach them to be "tame". It's all about trust.

They cannot bite your finger off and if your so scared that it will hurt or let your brothers near it you shouldnt have one anyway!
That was just me kidding. BUT...even a small tokay will bite and it does hurt. I only recommend them as an animal that you only look at unless you are an experienced handler. An adult that is not used to handleing can inflict a painful bite that will draw blood. You're finger won't come off but I've been bitten and it doesn't feel good. That's why I consider tgis species a look but don't touch animal. Even an experienced person can make a mistake. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pictures. I don't try and tame my tokays bc I don't like how stressful it is on them. I guess bc I'm all she's ever known for humans in her life she was happy to let me handle her.

That is very cool, I'm hoping to get a decent sized vivarium up soon and when I am settled (graduating college in a month) and have finished researching I would like to get one.
Sweet. This is going to be my next gecko; I'm working on building a cage.. or more like transforming a display cabinet into a cage. Can't wait! I love her color!
