Default Substrate help for White lined Gecko

Hello all. I am on the verge of purchasing a White Lined Gecko. I posted a question earlier about whether or not i should use a UVB light and my question was answered. Now i have one final question. What substrate is recommended for this particular gecko? I have heard many different opinions but i would like to hear a few more explaining which would be the best and most beneficial. I will be housing him in a screened top 20 gal. Aquarium.

For my tokays (which are very similar) I use a mix of peat, potting soil, and sand. I also have some chunks of slate on the ground here and there. The majority of the time though, they hang out on the sides of their enclosures. So the substrate can be lot's of different things. Coco fiber is used by a lot of people. I've used cypress mulch with good success as well. You just need something that will hold some decent humidity and soft enough that they won't injure themselves if they dive bomb a prey item from above.

As for UV lighting...unless you're trying to grow live plants in your viv, I don't think it's necessary IMO.
