Heres Johnny I lie It's Rupert the Toke
Meet Rupert...
Rupert is a 3 month old CB tokay I got at a local show a few months back..
his home is an exoterra 18x18x24 with all fake plants for right now. Once he's alittle bigger i will have a 2x2x3 or 4 ft built for his final home. my baby momma is a florist so we get plants really cheap and we have some pothos that im growing out to just make sure all the spray fert is gone as well as the soil ferts all organic will be the choice... there are two main hides one on the left wall is horizontal and the other on the right is vertical but he loves his wall and never uses them but they are there.. he's got plenty of room to hide out on the wall. he has one hide on the ground which is a 4'' pot that he runs into when i enter the house and it makes it easy for me to just get him out and hold him in a 10 gal while i clean it out and change it up a bit....
temperatures are in the mid 90's at the top and 75 from the ground up so he's got plenty of moving room to regulate himself. we spray a few times a day i heat the water up in the spray bottle in the sink so it doesn't freak him out he likes to be misted though and doesn't run.... we spray once before bed and let it dry out at nigh to avoid what ive heard could be respitory problems if over misted.
his diet consist of gutload crickets right now which i dust... 2 dusted feeding to one undusted, when i feed him he really gets down on some crickets so i just figured he was getting plenty of supplimentation from the amount of dusted ones. There is a local chameleon keepers who i know and he has a dubia colony and he's going to help me get one established because Variety is very important..
I weighed him 2 weeks ago and he weighed in at 13.5 grams so i will weigh him again soon for yall, he seems to be very happy. he no longer runs when me and my old lady walk by he just stays out he's moving around the front of the cage more but then again that's his bathroom which im glad he has a designated spot makes cleaning very easy. but today was the first time i feel he really excepted me he jumped into his pot i removed the pot and he will poke his head out as usual but this time he licked and then jumped to me where he let me pet him i just keep the pot close so he can jump back and he did so small steps but we are getting there.. let me know if i left anything out looking forward to some constructive advice!
