Cover the entire top except where the lamps shine through.
Use a thermostat on the lamps.
Add an exhaust fan in one corner.
Use a humitistat to control the fan which will draw out excessive humidity.
A natural planted substrate combined with a fully covered top will maintain high humitity and temperature without controls, the addition of a thermostat and humidistat will maintain your desired settings with ease. In most cases a set-up like this works with your normal misting and plant maintenance schedule. It also works well with timed misting systems or those that operate on a humidistat of their own.
On aquariums that size I use aluminium plate to make the cover, but any waterproof material should work just as well.
