Question Considering a Golden or White Lined Gecko

I am thinking about getting either a Golden Gecko or a White Lined Gecko. I've been doing research on both and right now, they're at the top of my list along with Crested Geckos as a potential gecko. This will be my first reptile and pet gecko in years so I'm quite excited.

Between the White Lined Gecko and Golden Gecko, which one tolerates handling more? I wasn't going to handle it often but I do want a gecko that tolerates some handling and I know cresties tolerate it pretty well. I would get a leo but I like the aboreal type Geckos better.

Honestly, as a first gecko, and your desire for one that is the most tolerant of handling, I would suggest a crested. White lined and goldens are both great geckos. But most of what is available on the market is going to be wild caught animals which likely will end up requiring acclimation, deworming, etc. as well as being much more flighty in general. I would start with a crested, see how that goes, and then once you get comfortable working with geckos, perhaps move on to a golden or white lined as a second animal.
Just my 2 cents.

In my experience? NEITHER.
Both will tolerate handling about the same, and will be skittish as hell, so you'll have to very cautious even during the handling. YMMV....

Cresteds are super easy going as far as handling goes, and from what i've heard, Gargoyles are even better for handling.
