tokay gecko viv build
So I decided to take my custom built 35g tank and modify and convert it to my tokay geckos vivarium. The tank was made tall for seahorses I use to have. It measures 30 x 12 x 22 3/4.
So I started out by taking a razorblad and cutting the silicone on the outside and inside of the bottom black plastic trim. The bottom piece was definatly the easy one to remove. The top I did the same basic concept but there seemed to be a lot more silicone and took me like an hour to get that plastic piece off. I did manage to break it in a few places on its removal. no big deal as I can put some silicone on it and make it look nice at the end of the modification to the tank. So after removing the plastic trim pieces I started cutting the silicone off the front panel to remove it. I did not take pictures of this process. So this is where my picture start from. This picture of the 35 with the front glass removed.
This is all that was done today. Had to quit as my finger tips were sore and had many small glass cuts in them. Will post more pics in the next post.
