Default Where to Put golden geckos when cleaning cage?

Yea i know stupid question but i dont really have anywhere to put them when i clean out there cage. Ive done it with them in the cage before but it takes a long time because they try to escape.

Well, first of all you're going to have to get over your thing about handling them. Whether they like it or not, there's simply always going to be times when you have to handle them. A good place to put them while cage cleaning is in a "gladware" type container (with holes in it for air obviously). These can be purchased in many different sizes at most any Walmart or grocery store very cheaply.

No, they are another type of Gekko Norea.

As Ethan stated, placing them in a small container for the few minutes or so it takes to spot clean the substrate and wipe down the enclosure is something that must be done and isn't a real issue to the gecko long term.

Any plastic container big enough with airholes will work, it can simply be put over the gecko and then gently slideing the lid on, taking care not to get any part of the gecko inbetween.

I never remove my Tokay pair from their enclosure, whenever i clean they just go into their hide and hang there, never tried to escape.
