Default picky tokay

Hi,

I have 3 tokays at the moment, given by a friend.
But they're just sooooo picky.

I tried feeding them crickets, no avail.
I tried grasshoppers, they didnt eat them.
Not even ****roaches.
And superworms were not their favorite either.

So i had to resort to other means.

Chopped chicken liver and ground beef all mashed up and rolled into a small sized ball, and try to use a stick to deliver the food in their mouth.

I keep a bowl of water but mostly i spray the water, since im not sure they're drinking water.

Need help!
Any advice on keeping them healthy?
Im afraid to touch them since they have a bad temper, but i would love to keep them.

Hey,

What is the condition of the Tokays I.e. Body weight size etc? How long have you had them and it may seem a silly question but how do you know they are not eating - have they lost weight since you got them?

I would be very careful trying to feed them using a stick, tokay geckos have a very powerful bite and if they were to bite down on the stick at the wrong angle it could break the geckos jaw. Try offering a bowl of pulped bannana or fruit puree type babyfood to see if this is taken, some of mine will also eat crested gecko diet formula and pinkies are a great way of fattening up underweight animals

Thanks.
I've had them for almost 2 months now.
I know when they dont eat because i count the crickets or roaches, or superworms or grasshoppers when i put them with the tokay. They come untouched and runs for a week or so before i take them out.
The tokays were fairly ok when they got here, but when they didnt eat some shed skin. So now since i feed them the alternative way, they're doing better. Although there is still shedding but they're not as skinny as they used to be.
Right now, if i weighed the tokays..they're probably around 150-200 grams, about 8-12 inches.
.
I'll try the fruits, see if they would eat.
As for pinkies, ill also look into that.

Thank you.

150-200g is rather big, is their baskingspot warm enough so they can digest properly, they might be constipated, you should house them individualy in rubbermaid containers (big ones) and use newspaper for substrate, that way you will know if they all take a crap etc.
