Default I think my tokays were mating.

I have a half hollow log in the terrarium on the back wall and looked in there and they were both laying in the bottom all twisted up I thought they were dying so I moved the log and they just laid there for awhile then the male ran off and the female laid there looking well satisfied but in a mangled looking position and not moving then she took off and ran in the to other hide as well?

I probably shouldn't have disturbed them but I have been worried about them and the position they were in didn't look natural and was afraid that they were in trouble. Do you think they were mating?

It's pretty much impossible to say without having been there to witness it. But it's certainly possible.

How long would it take before I would be able to see if she is gravid what should I look for and what kind of special care should I take?

She would lay in about a month + or -. Though generally the first thing you start hearing is the males barking. They do a loud calling dawn and dusk to call for a female. You know hes satisfied the first morning or night you dont hear this. lol No specialized care of the female except for extra food and ca. I always keep a dish that the lick regualar ca (no D3) out of in all cages at all times. Especially with laying female this is a good practice. When eggs are layed they will be glues on to a surface, leave them be the parents wont hurt them unless they are infertile or a different male sired them. But considering theyve been together i think its pretty safe to say he's the baby daddy. When eggs are in the tanks i really do no different. Humidity up, try not to get the eggs consistently soaked, although they are pretty water proof. the daily sprays dont hurt anything. Parents protect and nurture eggs, babies hatch out, and parents protect them! They are very simple.

Good luck
Morgan
