Hello everyone,

I'm new here. Just want to add my knowledge regarding the gecko, especially tokay. I've 2 tokay in my house that i catched last week. After examining the bottom part I assumed they're male, so I separated them in two boxes instead of combining them.

I plan to raise these tokay in order to reach weight 300 grams and up. As you may know, here in SE asia this tokay is like precious pets nowadays. Many people hunt them to be sell to the highest bidder. They say this tokay 300grams and up) is so expensive because their body (tongue, heart, etc.) contains some substance that an cure, cancer, allergy and even HIV/ AIDS. Well I don't know whether this is true or not.

Now I feed them crickets every midnight when I come home from work. I just want to learn how to tame them so that they can be fed easily.

It's not true. And I wish people would stop selling these amazing animals to the highest bidder just for them to be killed based off of a senseless rumor. Please just but them back where you found them. Or keep them as pets! They are amazing animals!
