You can use most anything really. Since healthy tokay don't tend to spend time on the floor of the enclosure, there's not much difference to them. The most important thing to keep in mind is that they will dive bomb their prey. So try to keep it somewhat soft so that it doesn't hurt their nose. And of course, you want something that will hold humidity well. For a nice naturalistic look, I use a combo of peat, cypress mulch, and bamboo leaves. Cypress mulch is super cheap. You can get a giant bag at most Home Depots for like $2. You can also use commercial products like repti-bark, coco, etc. But that sort of "pet store" type stuff can be expensive and isn't any better.
