don't buy wc animals 4 god sake!!!!!!!

sorry 4 my bad english...

here is my story:

I have a female tokay gecko for a year and a half, she is wc, last weekend an expo came to my state, so I was happy cause I was waiting such an opportunity to buy my little lady a big male who worth it, I was waiting this expo cause it's supposed that only the best animals are brought here, so I assisted as excited as i could be, BUT it was outrageous!!!! SAD!!! so SAD!!!!!!!!, when I entered the room hundreds of wonderfull animals came to my sight, tokays........ none!!!!, when I search more carefully 4 those tokays I was looking 4..... NONE!!!!!! I could not believe it!!!!! so i decieded to ask the person in charge "hey! did u bring tokays geckos????" I asked, "uh???!!! sure, I brought many!!!!! let me look for them" he took a sack that was on the floor and told me "here!! choose the one u like most!!!!"...........mmm.....

I was about to cry, believe me guys, you just can't imagine what I saw!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! about fifty animals in the same sack, some of them dead, others with broken jaws!!!! wounded eyes!!!! all of them black as night , stressed.... it was really sad, I could not leave it like that, so I talked to the owner who simply ignored me, so all I can do 4 this wonderfull animals is tell you:

It is sad. But on the good side, there are a lot more of us now breeding them in captivity. So hopefully, we can make an impact on the wild caught market over time.

Im so sorry to hear that you have experienced that. Yeah many people can be cruel. People in UK are trying to breed Tokay Gecko to make CB Tokay available. My tokay gecko which I have recently bought is captive bred.

I have a lot of WC Tokay's but all were taken out of the already captive population. I have been offered WC ones before but I refuse to buy them. If I want any more I simply hunt around for LTC ones and buy them.

I would really love to start breeding tokay geckos so i can satisfy the growing demand in my country of this little fellas, I suppose in US or UK is "easy" to find cb animals, here in mexico is 1 in a 1,000,000 I have a long term goal, stop tokays trade by breeding them, I know it will take eons of effort, but I will do my outmost
