Default Tokay In the day?

Hey guys and gals. Had some ?'s on my heat and lighting. I have been observing my new Tokay for a few days now. Eating and pooping fine. The first day or two she was no where to be found, but here in the past couple of days she will be out on the glass right below her basking light. Wondering if she is getting cold and if it is normal for them to come out during the day? She doesn't stay out all day just periodically. On the left side I have a 60watt light bulb and a 40watt red night light. It keeps the bottom at about 80-85 and top around 90-95. Now on the right side I have an Exo-terra sun glo 5.0 16watt bulb that keeps the bottom at around 75 and top around 80. The 60watt is just a regular house bulb that a friend says would be ok. The same friend also said to have about a ten degree variance for self regulating. At night the red bulb stays on and the cage says about 75 give or take. Ant feed back would be appreciated.

Thx.
Scotty B.

It sounds fine. Mine will come out and move About the cage. I personally would get rid of the red light. It's a waste of money and completely unnecessary. They do fine with a slight night drop, as well as I think it's good for them to have one. Normal house temps at night are perfectly fine. You'll find if you do keep using it that red lamps are a giant waste of $ bc they burn out so easily and quickly.

ceramic heat emitters are good for boosting heat without putting off any light. Just make sure to put it on a thermostat.
