At a shop near me they had a pair of tokays in there, one looks lovely and the other just ok, both I guess were CB. The shop told me the lovely looking one was a male and the average one was female (because it was bigger than the other one). Well I went in yesterday with the intention of buying the lovely one, and upon closer inspection it looks female! So double bonus! (and shows that the only real way to sex a tokay is to look at the pores!)
Here she is in the tub:
Going into her new home:
Then last night out looking round the viv (I think she will settle well):
And if I could get a second opinion on the sex, I am fairly sure its female, when I look through the loupe it definitely looks like dips in the pores.
And this is my male tokay, who if all goes well she will be paired up with in the future:
Nice looking pair! You really can't tell by size of the animal what sex it is. The pores are much more accurate. My guess would be female since there's no secretions coming from the pores (assuming that it's old enough to be sexed accurately).

I have been told that from the size she is, it looks like she may almost be fully grown so is near adult size (but still miles smaller than my male! haha).
Yeah when they said at the shop its male because its bigger I didnt believe them, I wanted to check for myself.
