Default My Tokay Room...

Thought I'd pop up a few pic's of my (nearly) completed Tokay (and Tegu) room....

I modified these 45 x 45 x 60 Exo's so I could stack them. I also made background's that hook on and off and divider's that slide in so they feel more secure and I don't have problems with them being able to see eachother through the sides. The colour choice I used is crap but I didn't have much choice. I tried black but found the Tokay's darken off against the black background. I tried white but it looked very clinical so ended up with a light green. They look good against it but photograph crap! Im going to make some Black divider's that I can just slot in to take a cheeky photo while they are blued up! The 4 at the top are empty and will be home to some het's I produce. Anyway, here they are...

Here's my 9 Stack. As mentioned before, they darken off against the black background which is a regret of mine, ah well, you live and learn! This stack has my misting system plumbed in so I don't have to spray them at all. I also have glass handles on both sides of the glass so I can just flip it around whenever I see urate/poo so there is always a clean side for the tokay to stick to. I will be using this for all my laying females next year as the wooden viv's hold temps/humidity really constand which is great for the eggs. Ignore the wire going in the middle viv. I'm trying to catch one of my females laying on camera!

This is my board I'm using to keep track of egg's and hatchlings etc. It makes it so I always know when one is hatched and can go hunting for hatchlings! at the moment it just shows what's in each viv.

This is my hatchling rack. It's pretty much empty now though! I've even put my GALS on there haha. Only got 3 hatchlings on at the minute and one is being collected tomorrow. I have my misting system connected to most of these but I'm still waiting on more nozzles to come to finish the room off.

Here's another pic...

And all LIT UP!

Thank's for looking people. I'm really chuffed I've got all this done now and I'm excited for next year. Contrary to popular belief I have not paired ANY of my Tokay's up myself. They have all been housed separately the whole time I have had them but I have had a few hatchlings from previous pairings before I got them. I've been nice and patient and now I'm set up I'm working on conditioning them all so they are 110% fit for breeding. Hopefully the patience will all have paid off!

I really do like that dark blue tokay morph with no spots really or a pattern. What morph is that? I wouldnt mind getting myself one of those morphs then breeding it with my current tokay that is the generic looking one.
