Wow! That is one beautiful animal!
Is he as colorful outside of Photoshop as he is in the pictures?

Enjoy your beautiful Tokay. There do not seem to be that many 'Malaysian' Blue & Red Tokay around anymore. Because they were so common as imports, very few folks bothered to breed them. Malaysia has been closed for some time and now they are very desirable.

To me they are how a "Classic" Tokay should look. This is the sire...

And I'm going to be pairing him but with this lady next year...

She's a bloody big female!

"Classic" Tokay is what we have seen imported from Malaysia for decades. Malaysia has closed it's borders to most reptile export and has strictly limited reptile ownership within the country.

Most Tokay have been coming from Indonesia for several years now. The "classic", or normal Indo Tokay is gray with orange spots. There are light blue with orange spots as well coming from Indo, but they rarely have that bright RED on blue classic look.

What does come from Indonesia is several different morphs not common to the 'old Malaysian Tokay populations.

Enjoy them,

Michael

I like how those classic ones look but since looking at the ones on your site I have feel in love with the Calicos.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for a white reptile. Someday we hope to figure out the 'Calico' genetics so we can reproduce visuals by domestic breeding.
