So i've decided to get a female golden gecko to hang out with LT (my male golden). Is it dangerous to house one male and one female together permanantly considering the fact that the male will probably want to breed all the time? Well this was the case when i had paradeura pictus (madagascar ground geckos) i had one male and one female and the male mated until the female became gravid and died, don't want that to happen again. Any advice
It is fine to house them together. If you cool them a little in the winter they will usually stop breeding. If that dosnt work get a second cage so you can seperate them. Most likely with Golden geckos you will never have to seperate the pair.
