Default Bad tokay Bite?

Anyone ever receive a medically significant bite from a tokay?

Red face Never!

I have been thrashed by my tokay gecko many many times. Once it almost came close to breaking the skin, but just because it got a small pinch of my skin. Don't mean to be intrusive, but what happened?

I had my big male tear my hand open pretty good. I probably could of used a few stitches but I just bandaged it my self. I have had some draw blood more than once but my big male has put the worts hurting on me so far.

Tile is great, if your lizards are indigenous to your bathroom

Oh, nothing happened. I'm just curious. I've kept tokays before and have gotten bitten and shed some blood. But I recently got this HONKER Cb male that has to be one of the biggest Tokays I've seen and is built like a pitbull on steroids. I was pondering what damage he could do and I bet it would be significant. It made me wonder about what some of the worst Tokay-related injuries out there have been.

I am a professional zookeeper and have cared for some of the world's most dangerous animals but I swear this big boy is really making me dread when it's time to move him out of quarantine and into his permanent cage. He's very calm and respectful as long as I reciprocate.

But in about a month...it'll be like....

I couldn't tell you officially yet Cliff but when I transfer him out I am going to try to get a weight. I'll try to get a pic with a ruler behind him but I'd guess him at no more than 11" tops. He's 4 yrs old so I imagine he can still put on size.

13" without a complete tail...good lord that's a beast! That's bigger than my leachies! Is he manageable?
