Default Young Gecko/won't eat..help!

Hello. I am a first time Gecko owner and picked up my first little girl last Monday. As far as I can tell she has not eaten a thing. I have meal and wax worms in the tank and I did have small crickets in there, but removed them. The tank is 80-85 deg...sometimes it goes down to 77 at night..
She has moved around and seems somewhat alert, but mostly hides.

She is very gentle and is very calm when I do hold her. I am 13 years old and I know i can be a good owner, can anyone give me any advice.

It would help to know what kind of gecko it is.

Hi..she is a leopard gecko. If it matters, she is considered albino..very light skinned.

Thanks

It's not unusual for a new gecko to avoid eating for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks after moving to a new environment. There's not much to do but offer food, give it peace and quiet and wait. Most people feel that the ideal temperatures for the hot side is more like 92 (although a few others have done OK with temps in the 80's) provided day and night with an under tank heater. If, by chance, you have gotten most or all of your information from the pet store, you should consider reading some of the leopard gecko care sheets available online (google). The info that repeats most frequently is probably the correct info.

Thanks so much. We will be patient and continue with the worms. We don't have an undertank heater, but lights. A blue one for the day and a red one for the evening. I have recently been keeping both on during the day because the temp. was not warm enough with just the one sometimes.
