Default Hello from the south of the Netherlands

My name is Douwe, i'm interested in all the info i can get about the dwarf gecko's and will share any information about them i have. At the moment i have 4 lygodactylus (luteo)picturatus and 5 kimhowelli plus some Lepidodactylus lugubris. They are housed in various tanks together with dart frogs. The gecko's mainly stay at the top where it is warmer and dryer and don't give a second look at the frogs. The smallest tank is 90cm about 3 feet? in height and the largest tank measures 140 cm in height (the glas area without the bottom wall or top) and 230 width (330 cm with the corner tank included). They get the same food as the frogs (fruitflies, springtails, lice etc) plus some fruit and honey and normal flies, small grass hoppers and anykind of small insects i can catch in the fields and woods. I have included some pictures of the big tank and 2 of the habitants.

Thanks, in fact the one you see are two tanks. the one on the right with the 2 big sliding windows is about a year old now, the one at an angle on the left i built a month ago, both have the same hight (window hight is 140 cm), i added the left one because i was tired of looking at the wall. The geckos tend to stay in the upper 40 cm except when they see something they want (food) They don't care at all about the frogs, they even sit next to them on the same branch when the frogs are calling (imitator in the right one and pumilio in the left one) the other frogs seldom go that high.'

Beautifully done!!! What is the Fluval supplying water for? I'm assuming you have a large water bass at the bottom...You must have the perfect amount of humidity in there.

Thanks again. The water supply 45 liters about 10 gallons is indeed for a sprinkler system. There is a large heated water part in the big tank but to water the plants and keep the humidity levels at about 70% at daytime and 90-100 at night, there are 8 sprinklers in the big tank and three in the left tank. They go on 5 times a day for 30 seconds and produce a mist like rain. Without it the tank would slowly dry out because the warmth from the heating by the lamps and the cable heating causes the moist air to go up and out of the ventilation at the top. Without the ventilation the air would get stale and the plants and wood would rot away. Air cerculation is certified by 10 fans which blow hot air form the lights in and/or suck the air from the tank. All on a moderate speed so there will be no draft. This also makes sure my windows keep clear.

That is a stunning setup! You did an awesome job. I would really like to see more closeups of the animals and setup if you are willing to post more pictures.
