How big are they? [weight in grams] And are you trying to breed them/are you ready for eggs? A male and female will mate regardless if you want them to if you house them together.

I would NOT put them together until they both are the same weight and length. And I wouldn't put them together unless you intend to breed them. Either one could be aggressive to the other. Leo's are solitary geckos, they simply do better on their own. I thought for a while about getting my male a "tank mate" but I didn't because I was told that they simply don't care for being social! Let us know what sizes they are and if you decide to put them together. If you do, keep a close eye on them to make sure no one is bullying the other! Good luck!

I'd introduce them to each other in a big box that is neutral to both of them if and when you do. That way you can see how they react to each other. You then need to observe any aggressive or dominance they show each other. I wouldn't advise keeping males and females together but I know some people do. Once they are in together I always keep an eye on them and have moved gecko's around not due to aggression but due to one maybe dominating another and causing stress.

I do keep some of my geckos together in small groups and I know this is frowned upon but I've never had any problems apart from one of my geckos overly dominating another one and these were seperated. My male lives on his own and is the biggest softie out of all our geckos even though he's a whopper. I don't want any of my ladies to have a shortened lifespan due to over breeding which is why he lives on his own but I can leave him with my groups of ladies if I want to breed them and you can never guess who he's mated with. He's never made a mark on any of them. None of our ladies will ever be as big as him although Yoshi is closest in size and must have a bit of giant in her too.

You had better put them seperately and it can protect them from fighting .
