Default Hello, new to reptiles

Hey after many months of researching about Leopard Gecko's I have decided to get a male gecko as they live alone
I brought a vivarium, which came with cali-sand that I really don't want to use as I've read so much bad press about it. So will buy something sutable for it (going to DIY store today to get something eg:slabs)
Getting my leo on Thursday, I can't wait

Hello MetalCageGeckos ~

Welcome to Geckos Unlimited! Slate tile makes an ideal substrate for leos. It can be washed in a dishwasher. Better not to use calci-sand. Very bad idea getting leos used to eating sand to supply their calcium needs.

Here is the care link about leos which I give to newbies: http://www.geckosunlimited.com/commu...-nutshell.html
