Aquainted, oh yeah.

I was asked to take on the leo when his owner had lost interest (13 yr old) & then I found forums in the UK.

I saw & fell in love with cresties, so got 3 babies.

2 turned out male, so have just got 2 more girls.

A 2 year old female & a hatchling, only 8g but no signs of pores, so time will tell.

That's wonderful! I rescue too! I have 2 leos that needed a new home after a similar situation. Boy got them as babies when he was younger and a few years later discovered that girls and his yoohoo were apparently way more interesting.

Welcome to GU!

Before you get into breeding, make sure you're ready to deal with all the babies; Crested geckos are extremely prolific, and even breeding only two females can land you with 30-40 babies to care for and try to find good homes for next year!

I understand what you are saying. I would maybe freeze any fresh laid eggs to stop breeding if needed, however eggs which lay undiscovered will be hatched, as I would never risk destroying a baby already forming within.

I would also keep boys seperate, so eggs would be unfertile ( I know about retained sperm).
