Post Hello Everyone from Turkey

Hi all,

I have a green iguana. We are together for a year now. When I got her she was 20 or 25cm. However things are changed and she is now 1 meter. I build a new place for her the old one becomes small in my opinion and i changed it. I search for web how I can build my equipment acoording to both for maya and the cage materials. Because in my country there are nobody to ask something like this and I would like to take help also if needed, I will assist in here. I like reptiles I had a gecko once but again because of the country I cannot find live food for it I gave it to the pet center. Anyway I hope I will find help here.

Regards...

Hello and a hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited!!! Good to have you in the club.

Have you found the DYI (do it yourself) subforum here on GU? There is also a subforum for Other Herps.

What kind of a gecko did you have? Iguanas are cute when they are small, BUT! People I know who have had iguanas ended up converting a closet into their habitat. One iguana even took up residence in a school library! Some people in countries where live crickets are not available, catch and feed their geckos grasshoppers.

Thank you for all the good comments,
I had a little leopard gecko also he was very cute but where I live there are nothing about the bug because of the city certainly. Therefore I know and I am checking DIY subforum since yesterday. I see and learn a lot but I will need help in 1 week. I will make the new case in this weekend or next, before the christmas.
Thanks everyone.

Also "Elizabeth Freer" you are exactly right and this is harsh situation for me once. My first cage was 120Wx60Dx60H, after 5 month I turn it to 150x70x70 and now I will turn it lastly to 170Wx100Dx100H. It will be last transform because now she is able to walk around whenever she wants at home. Also my family getting familiar with maya she is so cool. Anyway first 2 was glass tanks but the last one will be both glass and PVC foam because of the costs.

In addition for informing you about my country and the reptiles, Maya is the first as I see on the web who had a more than 1 meter by first year. There was a girl that I saw in local news. She had a green iguana that 80cm and she was walking in the street with it. People are afraid them but I do not know why as you all know it I like reptiles.
