Rave <3
So my name isn't Rave, just to be clear. My name is Allison. You can call me Alli, Sangyne (as I am known as that too), Sang, Syndicate (also a name I go by), or Synd.
Why did I make my username Rave then?
Becuase my lovely Leopard Gecko is named Rave. She is adoreable, as all Leopard Geckos are, and very active, in fact right now she is watching me with pleading eyes to be taken out and played with, but it is midnight and I was merely looking up some fun facts about the different kinds and such when I came across this place and thought "why not!".
So a little bit about me. I am an animal lover, I am in my final semester of my high school Senior year (woot woot!), I am an artist, my basic profession of drawing is Dragons, but lately I have doodled some Leopard Geckos for the fun of it! They are fun to draw (: All those spots <3. I like to write, and am pretty good at it thanks to six years of text-role play (not Live action).
I used to own fish before I got Rave. I started off with a Beta named V, he died, then I got one named Asphyrien (or Asph/Asphy). He got lonely so I had retrieved some Red finned sharks ( such cute things!) but soon he died, I was devastated. My mom got me a bunch of gold fish after that and finally I said enough was enough with the gold fish. I gave them to my boyfriend who has taken good care of them (one being given to his sister and the only one alive. The others were fed to an adoreable now passed away Turtle). I hated not having a companion of sorts and I didn't want a dog, seeing as we have two already. I couldn't have a cat because my Dad is allergic, so I went with a lizard of a sorts.
Originally I wanted a Bearded Dragon (which I still do), but because this was my first time having a lizard for a pet, me and my parents decided on a leapord Gecko, and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have made.
Why, you ask, am I saying not just about me, but Rave as well?
Because, this isn't just for me, but her too! She is my sweatheart, my darling, one of two of my Best friends( the other being human), and a part of my family. I would be ashamed of myself if I didn't talk about her too. And when her passing day comes, which it will one day, I will be distraught and down, but I will not fret, for I will remember her as I do all my pets (including Der Reise.. The biggest fish I ever had!).
My personality is a little strange at first, I am pretty easy going, but trust for me comes really hard and I may seem a little professional at first, don't worry, as I get to know you that "professionalism" will fade and my laid back self with poke its head out and greet you. I am very smart, that's not my ego talking either, and if I am treated unfairly I will do my best to correct it. I can be harsh, and very blunt, but unlike Rave, I am not very docile. I am more volatile.
Rave is pretty docile, unless I mess with her when she doesn't want to be. She likes mealworms and I want to start feeding her fruit too, but that will wait. She is not very old, in fact this May on the 26th (my birthday as well) she will be a year old. She lives in the aquarium I used for my fish, but now it is a terrarium and filled with all the things she needs. I usually don't take her out long as I am still skeptical about my trust with her being let to wonder or sit on me. Slowly we are getting there, and one day I am sure I will be able to feed her in the morning downstairs on my shoulder or watch tv with my family and have her with me (of course keeping a watchful eye out on our dogs as one is a terrier).
Anyway, that about sums out the neccesities, I will answer questions if there are any (:
