Hi,
I am new to GU thought I'd check out some gecko forums outside of Australia.
I keep Oedura marmorata

Underwoodasarus milli

Nephrurus levi

and Christinus marmoratus.

There are some amazing geckos worldwide, but I'm pretty happy with the species we have available in Australia.
(I would however love a uroplatus phantasticus)

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited! Thanks for sharing your geckos from the geck-go. I have kept and bred Oedura castelnaui since 2002.

Do you field herp? There are no geckos in the wild on the North Oregon Coast, my home. Only have found a couple salamanders in my backyard.

Elizabeth I see a few herps when I walk my dog, but I don't generally have the time to dedicate to it.
I live in the city, however I am fortunate to have some regenerated parkland nearby (blue tongues, tiger snakes, skinks etc)
I actually see most my wild herps walking around the perimeter of my workplace!! Hundreds of Spotted marsh frogs hide under the sheets of ply wood lying around (That I placed there to encourage them) Even found a turtle!!

You don't know this, Andrew, but I just e-mailed a friend of mine today to see whether she has any scrap lumber for my backyard as potential homes for native salamanders.

Good job establishing plywood homes for hundreds of spotted marsh frogs! Do you hear them calling to each other? What kind of turtle did you find?

Eastern long neck turtle. The frogs get real noisy on dusk.
I keep spotteds myself and I know how noisy such little frogs can be!
