Talking Introduction and question :)

Hello all. I've always used this site for info on my geckos but never made a profile. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful I thought I'd join the community. I have a leo (dexter) and a blizzard (dahmer) both boys, housed seperately of course. Late at night a couple times a week they will wake me up being very vocal. Both of them are "talking". Their tanks are across the room from each other. Are they communitcating? Showing aggression? Is this normal? Should I put the tanks in different rooms? Lol it's quite cute but odd!

Hello and welcome to GU! Glad to see you're not a lurker anymore and joined the ranks!!
My best guess is that if husbandry is correct, then they probably are just being talkative. They probably know that the other is there and a male and saying something like, "Hey! I know you're there and this is my tank!" Some leo's tend to be more vocal. I think you have two of them.

Hey ~

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited! Good to see that you have formally joined.

Don't really know much about talkative leos. Maybe they are looking for female partners? Have just a lone female leo right now and she is quiet.

I have four at the moment.... 2 boys and 2 girls and they don't ever seem to "talk" to each other (at least while I'm in the gecko room). Your's may indeed just be extra talkative.

Thanks for the welcomes and input! I was just afraid they were stressing each other out! But theres no other signs of stress so it's all good. I was thinking about maybe adding just one more gecko or other reptile to my family. 3 tanks will be quite enough for my apartment lol and altough I love leos I was thinking maybe a diff type or gecko? Any suggestions?

You might wish to do a search for northern velvet geckos (Oedura castelnaui) or mourning geckos (Lepidodactylus lugubris) here. Then cresties are a very popular choice.
