First experience with feeding within a 36 hour radius!

Well, after a puzzling first day with my little Leo baby - I was trying to come up with reasons as to why the little one would not eat. There are Crickets galore, but there was simply no interest! So, I got thinking.. And decided to grab my "Can O' Crickets" and lightly dusted two(cut in half) in Calcium. The first two halves dropped into the sand - which I deemed as soiled as I do not want the little one to eat it, despite it being fine grade. Also note: I -will- be replacing the sand with an appropriate substrate, as I -know- the risks. For now I have paper towel down in one of its hides for comfort and feeding. But anyway, after the first two were soiled - there were only the last two halves left. So, I held the Cricket halves out with a pair of tweezers and viola - the little bugger went nuts! I tried giving another half, but it seems that the two pieces were juuuust enough.

First Handling Experience - Newly Acquired Female
The first handling experience went quite well. But even before that, the moment I saw her scuttle out from her little hide - I clicked. She stood out against the rest of the others, and seemed to hold herself with a dignified posture. When the pet store worker lifted her up, she flailed and then crawled into my hands before she fell still and began to taste the air above my flesh. She kept this up for a few seconds before she nestled in against my palms. I held her for about two minutes before I decided that yes.. I -had- to have her! On the way home I checked on her in her transportation box, and she enjoyed crawling up into my hand and onto my arm. She is very friendly, friendlier than -any- Leopard Geckos I have seen in pet stores actually.

First Feeding Experience - Newly Acquired Female
The first feeding experience went amazing as well. I placed three Crickets in her home, and she showed mild interest at first. I looked away for a split second to check on Blaize's feeding and then, BAM!! She had a Cricket locked in her jaws, before it disappeared with a gulp. I kept watch on her the second time, and was astounded by her lithe speed. She is a small girl, but can she ever move quick when she wants to!!
