hi im lea and i might get an emperor scorpion. any tips??? all advice will be appreciated. thanks.

I'm thinking of getting a scorpian myself, beautiful aren't they?

4 Green Tree frogs
4 jumping spiders
3 hermit crabs
5 firebellied toads
2 vietnamese mossy frogs
4 chinese fire-bellied newts
1 apple snail (size of a tennis ball)
2 betta fish
1 african dwarf frog
2 cats
....several ramshorm snails..(these were obtained by accident)

hi

easy to care. can be kept together in a bigger box no need lamp. Above a bit the room temp is completely ok for them. Spray their tank every day. Good if you add some bark what they use to hide. If one keeps scorpion consider that they are strictly nocturnal animals which means they are not display animals. Hope this helped.

ps: emperor and red claw (p.cavimanus) have similar needs and easy to keep both. Stick to less agressive and venomous species like these two if you are beginner.

Thanks! Do they prefer to be solitary or in groups? (I'm assuming the first)

emperor can be kept in small group but count 20-25l space or more for one.
