Default Roaches for Lineatus?

Getting some Lineatus and just wondering everyone else feeds theirs? I WONT go back to feeding crickets to anything. I hate those smelly noisy hoppity things! I currently breed dubia, lateralis, and hissers. I assume that the lateralis will work ok. But will the Lineatus eat Dubia from a bowl? Anyone tried? I tried that with my Felinus and they wanted nothing to do with them. I'm just thinking that since Lineatus are larger sized geckos, they might enjoy the bigger size of dubia. My knobtails love 'em. But then again, my knobtails eat anything I throw in front of them.

I feed my lineatus with roaches now and then, both with dubia and some different Blaberus and Eublaberus....it works fine for me....but i don´t feed from a bowl.

Don't the dubia just burry themselves in the substrate?

well they like to burry themselves, but after shaking them with calcium they are a bit disorientated...it works for me.....one or two might burry somtimes, but they will not live for long, just put a slice of some fruit in the terrarium and the roach will get there to eat his last meal......

Ahhh...the fruit idea is a good one. I hadn't thought of that. Dubia loooove apples in particular. I'll give that a try.
Thanks

To answer my own question, it turns out that the Lineatus definitely have no problems eating Dubia from a gladware bowl! They LOVE 'em.

I tried using a large plastic butter container first and they didn't show any interest. Then I tried a shorter gladware container and they went crazy. It was fun watching them.

I have been keeping lineatus in the past and hand feeding them with anything worked! They have accepted all moving insects and were feeding quite aggressively. I also used dubia and used the fruit idea in a bowl when going out for a few days, it worked fine. Good luck with this gorgeous species!

The only thing to be concerned about Ethan is that if the bowl is glass/ceramic etc they can injure their nose whilst pouncing. So I used to put a layer of sponge underneath the roaches and they fed fine.
