Default Some pix's/video of my Uroplatus. ? about U. henkeli

I wanted to share some pictures of my uroplatus geckos. I have 1.1 U. Henkeli and 0.2 U. Pietschmanni. (my male recently died) I also have a couple questions. Does anyone else feed their U. Henkeli pinkys every now and then too? Is it that beneficial? or is dusting crickets/roaches with calcium powder enough? I also heard that snails are good for U. Pietschmanni. Where can i get these snails?

Male U. Henkeli

Female U. Henkeli

Female U. Pietschmanni #2

Nice geckos. Love the video, I've often thought of feeding my fimbriatus pinkies. I'm sure the occasional pinkie would be beneficial. Often people feed pedialyte treated pinkies for dehydrated geckos.
good luck

The occasional pinky is great, just don't overdue it. I use them as monthly (if that frequently) treats for my henkeli and fimbriatus.

Thanks for the info guys. Thank you for sharing your picture. Thats a Large pinky.

I finally got some eggs from my U. pietschmanni. I hope to get some from my U. henkeli. At what age does U. henkeli start breeding? Both my male and female are a little over a year old.

Yeah I think that may be a bit excessive, haha. Pinkies are good but definitely keep them as treats. I'd recommend only feeding them to females during the breeding season maybe once a month to help them keep their weight up. Pinkies are like ultimately fatty treats, so overdoing it can lead to fatty liver disease in some geckos. Anywho, awesome looking geckos!!

Much respect,
-Matt
