Default Help! - Escaped U. fimbriatus!

I forgot to close the cage door to my U. fimbriatus colony cage and I lost a 12" female from the enclosure. She was last seen near my office area, any help would be appreciated.

i suppose try all the usuals, behind the fridge or anywhere with a heat source, maybe try a dish with some food on a flat surface and sprinkle powder around the dish so you can see footprints, this way at least you know the gecko is active and if your realy lucky she might leave a trail,(i saw that someone found a gecko on another forum this way)
fingers crossed for you,
at least its a bigger species youd have alot less of a chance if it it were a phantasticus,

ok jokes on me,i ddnt see the picture, blast this slow connection, lol

Put it's favorite hide out with a bowl of meal worms in front of it. Also try to search all the spots that are warm. Vents, store, everythign! I've heard fo people who found it months later

Um, I was kidding guys....she escaped and when I woke up she was "sleeping" on the wall not 5 ft from her cage as per the pic.

I don't think a hide box would do much for attracting a Uroplatus.

Good thing your wall isnt covered in lichens and moss (or toobad?...)

I had a guentheri escape once and may eventually post the pic of where I found him,on the bulletin board...tail sticking out from behind a newspaper clipping.

neat pic btw, glad your "oops" story ended on a happy note.

Thanks. I think it's hard to lose a 12" fimbriatus unless it's outdoors...she thought she was doing a great job though, must have been the forest picture that helped.
