ok
so plug one end of the hose,and submerge the plugged end completely in the water,then hold the other end of the hose way above the water level so the hose is verticle,carefully fill the hose with water to the brim and then plug this end too,
now move the top end of the hose below the water level(on the outside of the tank)
then remove the plugs at the same time and hey presto gravity will do the rest,i was fed up with taisteing month old dart frog tank water so i tried this method and it works like a dream
