Default Uroplatus Breeders?

Hello Everyone,

I am in the planning stages of setting up a Uroplatus breeders registry and would like to gauge interest on the boards. I think if we have a central site to collaborate through, with lists of members to post their findings and successes/failures, we can help bring this genus into a more productive state. The sooner we start collaborating the sooner we will have the information that we'll need to help prevent what plagues many other species' captive populations (crosses, inbreeding etc).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Luis

Sounds like a fantastic idea for me and I wish you the best of luck. I know that I, for one, would give you my full support however I could with such a site.
It really boggles my mind why there isn't such a central forum focused on Uroplatus. There was a great one a while back called "Uroplatus Genus" ( I believe the URL was uroplatusgenus.com or something similar). I really liked the way it was laid out but for some reason it seems to have disappeared .
I am very grateful for this forum on GU as it seems to be one of the only places where information is exchanged regarding this amazing Genus.
