Apologies to bump an old topic like this, but could you tell me please if I can keep them on coir and peat or the dirt is a must for them? I wouldn't go for potting soild (because of the additives) and I can not get some outside now.

You can keep them on coir, peat or on pine bark without issue. I have various cultures using all of these and notice no difference in production.
