I use my own "top secret blend" .... Very expensive to make (exotic, organic ingredients). However, if every female squuezes out healthy clutches, the expense quickly pays for itself. Google some "gut-loading recipes" I'm sure you'll come up with some good ideas. Most of the commercially available stuff is not that great IMHO.

Ok I use a combination of things as follows and my crickets thrive as well as my geckos.
chicken meal. You can buy a 50 lb bag for 5 bucks at a feed store and it's the same thing as the flukers dry cricket diet just make sure its the unmedicated kind, other options are the egg layers meal which is higher in calcium or the normal. The crickets also really like gold fish flakes, dog or cat food as mentioned above. And I give them sliced oranges and apples and corrots and romaine lettuce. They always have a dish of water gel as well. They do great on a mixture of this but they really really like the chicken feed.

Hi Tucker

A recipe that can be used for all feeder insects, as a nice gut load is like following:

Apple pure
oatmeal
flower pollen
cornflour
millet-flakes
whole grain flour
powe food for birds with fruit and vitamins

mix it up in a bowl, to it gets a nice consistense and feed, you can make big portions and keep in the freezer to later use.

hope it helps.

if you dont want to make something like that for the feeder insects, then doggfood(the dry stuff), and some veggies once ina while to give em some moist(to drink) then their fine.
