Our new U.s.sikorae
A friend of mine directed me to an ad for U. sikorae on the WIReptiles forum. I'm a member there, but I probably wouldn't have even seen the ad until it was too late. I emailed the guy at 3:00 in the morning before going to work and was the first to contact him.
Last weekend we drove down to Madison to pick up our newest acquisitions...two female Uroplatus sikorae sikorae. We're happy to add them to our collection.
This lichen colored one is just awesome. It almost has a blue look to it. Very different from what I've seen before.
And this one was advertised as the female to a "red-stripe" pair. The male (which died on the guy a while ago) had a red stripe for sure, but this female more or less has a rusty colored back pattern. Her color looks different about every 15 minutes, and she's difficult to photograph and capture her at her best. Still nice either way though.
Hope you like!
