Talking Uroplatus Pietschmanni Photo Shoot

Finally got my U. Pietschmanni! I purchased an LTC trio! I currently have one pair in a 24X18X24 and a younger female in a 12X12X18. I'll be on the search for a CBB young male to put with my female in the spring .

These are the first Pietschmanni I've ever seen in person, and I was nothing short of amazed. These are probably the most eye catching lizards on the market right now IMO and I look forward to working with them and producing some CBB babies! The previous owner (Tom Wood), thanks again Tom , witnessed copulation a few days before I acquired the trio, so hopefully I'll have some eggies soon!

Jeez...after looking at your last two threads I am becoming extremely jealous of your Uroplatus collection. These guys are stellar...took me a second to find them but wow.

The viv is very nice as well.

Again, as with the other thread I would love to know more about your husbandry practices - we each have our methods to try to achieve the best environment possible for our animals and we can learn so much by sharing.

Thanks for posting these.

Thanks for your compliments! They're truly amazing. I'm sitting in the room with them and they're surprisingly active! Its nighttime and they're all over their viv!

I'm keeping them in a 24X18X24 glass cage. Kept a bit warmer than the henkeli (about 78 daytime, 73ish night). I mist them every night. I have a thin layer of Eco Earth, a snake plant, three cork flats and a few nice branches. I have moss behind one of the cork flats which will hopefully gear her toward there to lay her eggs. I also have UBV on them.

Hopefully once I have eggs I'll be able to make sure this set up works and I'll be able to offer more information.

Thanks again!
