Default Firewood for Sikorae?

Hello all, I just want to start by saying there's a lot of great info on these forums and thank those who take the time to provide info on their successes with these animals. I've wandered these forums over the past several years as Uroplatus have always been an interest for me but I just haven't felt I've had the time needed to care for them properly. That has now changed

Recently I came across a pair of U.s.sikorae and while setting up their cage I realized we had a bundle of firewood in the garage. I wasn't sure if there would be any concern in using it for the set up but I didn't just in case. I checked the company's website but wasn't able to confirm that the wood isn't treated with anything. There are a couple really nice round pieces that I wanted to possibly use in the tank and I would assume they don't treat wood ment for a fireplace with anything, but you never know.

So...Has anyone ever used bundled firewood or is there any reason not to use it?

Any idea what kind of wood it is? If it is aromatic, like Cedar, then it might not be a good idea to use. Also, it would be a good idea to clean it up some as spiders are often found in the bark of wood stowed away.
As for chemical treatment, I really doubt that it would be treated unless it was sold as quick starting.

pine isn't good for reptiles, so it would be best to find some different wood if you can.
