Default Help needed asap!

I am currently housing my entire leaf tail collection as well as my Rhacodactylus upstairs in my bedroom. The bathroom that connects is where I get all my water from for the food and spraying. My family member sprayed Glass Cleaner to clean the mirror above the sink, and I'm finding it hard to believe that no reminisce of the product made its way into the sink.

Would you guys continue using this water or would you get water from another source (ie. distilled gallons, etc).

Please respond as soon as you can!

Thanks!
-Armen

Thanks for the input.

Can anyone answer if the distilled water jugs at gas stations are free of chlorine, etc.?

Thanks,
-Armen

Distilled water should be 100% pure, it is typically sanitized by ozone instead of chlorine.

Maybe I'm not getting a clear picture here but water comming out of your bathroom tap should not be effected by cleaners sprayed on the mirrors.
As for distilled water, I used it for years to keep the automatic misters from clogging up. Some people has also used it to keep the vivarium glass from getting water spots. I've since gone to a reverse osmosis filter system. At a buck something a gallon, distilled water gets pretty expensive over the course of a year.

Armen, I agree with Lawrence on if what you're looking for is a true long term solution, go with a RO filter system. They're inexpensive, easy to install and your water will be great quality. I got a RO filter about 6 years ago I guess for my cat geckos, and now that's what all of my animals get and myself as well. And not only is it healthy for your animals, you'll have no more water stains on your enclosures as noted above as well.

If you're just looking for a quick fix to the glass cleaner issue, the distilled gallons should do you fine. I honestly don't think anything will be effected just from spraying the mirror though. But if you're worried about, don't take the chance...go get some distilled water. It's certainly not going to hurt anything.

Figure I will input my review of my current RO system. For the last few years I was using Culligan water for everything. However this became somewhat bothersome to keep having to go refill 30-40 gallon jugs all the time and shuffle them to and from the store (quite heavy)

So I bought a personal household RO water system and a utility sink designed to just fill up 5 gallon water jugs. So that I could do everything "in house". However after doing all this and investing over $350 in the system as well as labor of installing piping to my new sink I found out that this RO system (Whirlpool/good brand) uses 5 gallons of water to create 1 gallon of purified RO water. That to me is absolutely ridiculous that a machine could be that in-efficient, especially since they advertise it as a energy efficient machine! As for my uses that comes out to about a 100-120 gallons of water per week just going right down the drain!! Thats a lot of waste just to get my 20-30 gallons of water. I haven't seen the new waterbill yet since its installation, but I imagine there will be some real sticker shock once it does arrive.

Just something to consider that I wish someone told me before I went out an bought one as it would of detered me from buying one!

That's crazy Derek! Does anyone know if using bottled mineral water will prevent the water stains on glass?

That should maximize the appearance of water spots.

Why would it maximize them?
